The week started out great until Darren went to pick Matthew up early from daycare on Monday. He walked in and found Matthew STANDING in his high chair, with the daycare provider no where to be found!
So what would you do? Let's just say he didn't go back after that day. Strike 2 with daycare. So, Darren's mom graciously got on a bus Monday night and came out to watch Matthew Tuesday, Wednesday and today. She went back home tonight and Darren is off for the next few days.
We had been discussing her moving out here to help take care of Matthew, so this just expedited the process.
Oh well, like the Amanda Marshall song says, it's just one more mountain.. when the river rises, we rise above!
So on to happier things! Monday night we got snow!! (well, I guess that's not really happy news) but Matthew got to go outside today for the first time in real boots and real ski pants and a real winter jacket and mitts and find out what SNOW is all about!

Oh my goodness! That is not good! You always wonder what is going on when you are not around. You can definitely understand why people invented nanny cams! I hope it all works out with getting your mother in law to move here. We wanted my mom to do that but unfortunately b/c she would be moving from the US it was a bit more of an issue so no go. I hope you get a good resolution soon!
Oh Erin! That's terrible. At least you found out before anything bad happened to Matthew. I'm glad for you that you did find out. It's always a concern in the back of my mind. I need to do an early drop in one day. I hope it all works out with your mother and the move.
